We previously posted about our march maddness competition on this page; we were challenging our rowers to put their all into their pre-regatta season, edging to see what kind of results we can get. 

We had entries from Nuala in Australia, Maire in Spain, and members in college in Cork, Galway and Dublin! A total of over 800,000 km was rowed ! 

The winner for most kilometres rowed in the month of March is Cathal Whelton.

Our secretary Cathal rowed 227.564 kilometers on the rowing machines in March!!

He won a Europe hotel and spa voucher and also a prize of a T-shirt and concept 2 erg seat which was generously sponsored by rowfit 

 David Blennerhassett and Ellen Sheehan won prizes of Killarney Brewery vouchers for the fastest 1km sprints  

Our club member Noreen Griffen won the furthest distance rowed in one session. 

Noreen secured her prize of a golden nugget voucher for rowing 30.161km in a singular sitting. 

Fastest 500m rowed for female and male categories goes to Sarah O Shea and Conor Coffey respectively 

Congrats to all members and a big shoutout the the local fossa businesses The Europe Hotel, The Golden Nugget Bar, Restaurant & Off Licence and Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co.  who facilitated purchasing vouchers for our prizes.
